[Mod] Horseshoes (1.20.1 - 1.21.1)
Horseshoes is a mod that adds equipment for horses in Minecraft, improving their speed and protection, in addition to enchantments.

Horses, which are part of Minecraft, have been a much-loved addition by the community, as they provide a way to move faster over certain distances, such as vast meadows, and are a suitable means of transportation for everyone. They were added in version 1.6.1 (Jeb posted a screenshot of them to celebrate Minecraft reaching 10 million sales at the time), and have since undergone some changes, notably in 1.13, where their model was slightly changed to better suit the game. There are several vanilla-like mods that allow you to improve them; I've selected Horseshoes today for its originality.
Horseshoes is a mod created by HyperPigeon, which adds horseshoes, as the name suggests, which allow horses to move faster depending on the material used. It also increases your steed's armor bar, which is particularly useful, especially for better protection. Horseshoes is the perfect mod if you're looking for a way to upgrade your horse's equipment.
Horseshoe Types
The mod adds three horseshoe levels : Iron, Gold, and Diamond.
- Iron Horseshoes : Increases speed by 4 blocks per second and provides 1.75 bars of armor.
- Golden Horseshoes : Increases speed by 8 blocks per second and provides 1.25 bars of armor.
- Diamond Horseshoes : Increases speed by 6 blocks per second, but provides 2.75 bars of armor.
Where To Find Them
You can obtain iron and diamond horseshoes by trading with village blacksmiths or from chests in Minecraft's Overworld structures. Gold horseshoes, however, can only be found in chests in Nether Bastions and Fortresses. You'll therefore have to venture out and take risks to get them.
Enchantments
You can also enchant horseshoes using boot enchantments (via books) with an anvil. For example, you can apply the Frost Walker enchantment to a horseshoe, which allows your horse to walk on water (the water turns to ice thanks to the enchantment).

Installation Guide
- Windows : To play Horseshoes, you must first download and install one of the three APIs (Fabric – NeoForge – Quilt). Once you've created your profile with the version of your choice, press the Windows key + R on your keyboard, type %appdata% in the search bar, and locate your .minecraft folder. Once inside, locate the mods folder and drag Horseshoes inside. Launch the game and check that everything is working properly.
