[Mod] More Geodes [1.17 - 1.20.1]
Check out More Geodes, a mod that adds 5 new ore geodes to Minecraft.
MODSENVIRONMENT & NATUREEXPLORATION
You've probably noticed during your long exploration and mining sessions underground that the Minecraft Overworld has been enriched with amethyst geodes to enhance its underground environment since versions 1.17 and 1.18, which completely transformed the world generation and made it more beautiful. These geodes are a wonderful addition to Minecraft and are highly appreciated by the community. With the More Geodes mod, you can now enhance and complement your mining sessions with new geodes of rare and valuable ores.
More Geodes is a mod created by TheDeathlyCow who wanted to expand the number of geodes present in Minecraft. While he initially simply wanted to add emerald geodes to the mountains of the Overworld to give players a better chance of finding them, he decided that more geodes would be even better! He has therefore added 5 new geodes in total : Emerald, Lapis Lazuli, Quartz, Echo, and Diamond!
Emerald Geodes
Emerald geodes are very similar to amethyst geodes, with the particularity of being found exclusively in mountain biomes. They allow players to finally have a renewable source of emeralds, instead of endlessly trading with villagers to obtain this precious crystal.

Lapis Lazuli Geodes
Lapis Lazuli geodes are much more numerous in the Overworld, especially in the desert, and are also more visible, especially on the ground surface, in rivers, or in open underground tunnels. They are surrounded by a layer of Pyrite instead of Calcite, which can be used for your constructions or even traded with Nether Piglins. Very practical.

Quartz Geodes
Quartz geodes are unique because they are found exclusively in the Nether. Searching for these geodes can therefore be more perilous given the many dangers of this dimension.

Echo Geodes
Echo geodes are found only in the Deep Dark and provide the player with a renewable source of Echo Shards. These shards will be invaluable for crafting the end-game crystal locator.

Diamond Geodes
Certainly the most popular addition for players, diamond geodes are the rarest but also the most interesting. You'll encounter them during your mining sessions in the depths of Minecraft. They allow players to find diamond clusters, and even unique blocks (!). Each shard yields a diamond, which can be increased with the Fortune enchantment. They are surrounded by coal and are usually flooded. Note that they are also non-renewable.

Gypsum Roses
Inspired by real-world desert roses, gypsum roses are found only in deserts and badlands. Highly decorative, the shards will be useful for crafting the crystal locator.

Crystal & Echo Locator
The crystal locator is a tool to help players locate a specific geode, giving them directions for digging. To craft it, simply assemble 4 gypsum shards and two sticks. There's also an improved version: the Echo Locator, which allows you to detect geodes around you. This very useful tool lets you scan walls to find the best-hidden geodes.
